We developed cost loaded baseline schedule and provided monthly progress schedule updates during construction. This Project involves the Renovations of Building 1E Support Operations Division (S.O.D) to include Upgrade to the Hexavalent Chromium Exhaust systems (open bay area) to meet current American Conference of Government Industrial Hygiene (ACGIH) requirements. Upgrade open bay area HVAC and lighting systems. Repair of the exhaust system for the three exhaust hoods in the Chemical Lab in Building 1E. Renovations of 1E to include; restroom areas, break areas, offices, etc. Necessary HVAC Work includes a new comfort chilled water system, ventilation system repairs, extensive laboratory exhaust repairs, and a new boiler plant. Electrical work includes replacing lighting with energy-efficient LED lights. Major work includes electric, telecommunications, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems all of which are obsolete and in deteriorated condition. The fire alarm, communications systems, and emergency lighting will be repaired/replaced with current technology and to be brought up to code. This project is required to allow the industrial operations to better utilize their facility, improve morale, and improve safety their facility, improve morale, and improve safety through the elimination of harmful indoor air quality, poor lighting, and failing building safety systems.
